Se ha anunciado la lista completa de nominados a los premios BRIT Awards 2025.
Los premios de este año se llevarán a cabo en The O2 en Londres el sábado 1 de marzo y se emitirán exclusivamente en ITV1 e ITVX. El comediante y actor Jack Whitehall ha sido anunciado como el presentador, que regresa por quinta vez después de presentar los premios en 2018, 2019, 2020 y 2021.
Este año, Charli XCX lidera el camino con la mayor cantidad de nominaciones, recibiendo nominaciones en cinco categorías, incluyendo Artista del Año, Artista Pop y Artista Dance. Su colaboración con Billie Eilish, ‘Guess’, también está nominada a Canción del Año, mientras que su disco ‘BRAT’, que inspiró BRAT Summer, está preseleccionado para Álbum del Año de Mastercard.
Muy de cerca le siguen Dua Lipa, The Last Dinner Party y Ezra Collective, nominados a cuatro premios cada uno. Myles Smith ha recibido nominaciones en tres categorías, aunque anteriormente se había anunciado que ganaría el premio Rising Star 2025, lo que significa que podría irse con cuatro trofeos esa noche.
Otros nominados notables son The Cure, que han recibido sus primeras nominaciones a los BRIT en más de tres décadas gracias al álbum aclamado por la crítica ‘Songs Of A Lost World’. Esa noche, Robert Smith y compañía tendrán la oportunidad de ganar en las categorías de Álbum del año, Grupo del año y Artista alternativo/rock.
Los Beatles también han sido preseleccionados para la Canción del año con Mastercard gracias a su tema «final» ‘Now And Then’. Creado por Paul McCartney y Ringo Starr, el sencillo fue el último en incluir a todos los miembros y utilizó tecnología de inteligencia artificial para restaurar grabaciones anteriores con George Harrison y John Lennon.
