Spotify cumple 20 años desde su fundación en abril de 2006 y lo celebra publicando por primera vez en su historia los rankings oficiales de los artistas, canciones y álbumes más reproducidos en toda la vida historia la plataforma. Hasta ahora, la compañía solo ofrecía datos parciales a través de su Spotify Wrapped anual y anuncios de récords concretos, pero nunca había publicado una lista completa y oficial de su historia acumulada.
Los resultados no sorprenderán a nadie: Taylor Swift es la artista más escuchada de toda la historia de Spotify, seguida por Bad Bunny, Drake, The Weeknd y Ariana Grande. El top 10 lo completan Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber, Billie Eilish, Eminem y Kanye West. Entre las curiosidades del ranking, solo cuatro de los veinte artistas más escuchados son mujeres, y Juice WRLD, fallecido en 2019, logra colarse en el puesto 20.
